Three doors to Pro
The door is not in the feature list. It is where you installed.
License landed 2025-12-17. App Store IAP init was tightened 2025-12-27. After Windows reached Microsoft Store, the third door closed: Store get is free, Pro still uses a site CDKey.
Direct and Microsoft Store use a CDKey. Mac App Store uses Apple IAP. Store builds have no updater.
The three doors
Direct build. Buy a CDKey. Settings → License → activate. Bound to this machine. Unbind before you move.
Microsoft Store. First wave is free get + site CDKey. No Microsoft IAP. The package has no site updater. Updates come from the Store.
Mac App Store. Apple IAP. Restore purchases after reinstall. No private machine-id API.
Launch-at-login also landed 2025-12-27. It is not payment. It lives in General. People often file it as “the Store build is missing something”.
Steps: activate Pro. Unbind is a separate page on the site.
Do not
- Do not hunt an in-app “Buy” on the Microsoft Store build. Use the CDKey.
- Do not wait for the site updater dialog in a Store build. It is off on purpose.
- Do not hang one CDKey on two machines without unbind. The old box fails first.
