The path is the spec

Frameworks read names on disk.

Icon-App-1024x1024@1x.png and ic_launcher.png are not taste. Since 2025-12-17 you can edit platform paths, add a custom platform, and emit ICO / ICNS on any platform.

Name, size, ICO/ICNS live in platform config. Custom platforms follow your repo.

Built-ins first

iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, Web, Tauri, Flutter, and WXT ship with common trees. WXT writes icon/16.png … 128.png.

Internal tools: Settings → platform config. Pro edits built-in lists. Free may add one custom platform and ten paths each. Batch import reads sizes from names.

Config exports to a file. Move machines by import. It stays local. See platform config.

Only ticked platforms generate. Custom platforms must be visible in the export list — that toggle arrived with License.

Do not

Do not name a platform “my icons 2”. Use real repo paths.
Do not fight the free lock on built-in iOS rows. Add a custom platform.
Do not assume Electron is built in. It is not. Custom platform.
